Nicole is the founder and a lawyer with Simes Law.
She is passionate about achieving just and expeditious results for her clients.
Nicole’s practice focuses on employment and human rights law. She acts for both employers and employees on issues ranging from wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, terminations, lay-offs, severance packages, employment contracts, discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, and human rights.
Nicole regularly appears before all courts and tribunals in Ontario
Nicole started her career as a judicial law clerk for the Federal Court of Canada and worked for an employment law boutique for over ten years before starting Simes Law. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law where she was deeply involved in the International Human Rights Program.
Outside of the office, Nicole enjoys exploring the world with her family and trying new wines.

Marium is an Associate at Simes Law. Marium represents both employers and employees on various employment law matters, including constructive and wrongful dismissal, severance agreements, employment agreements and human rights in the workplace.
Marium s a strong advocate who is committed to achieving efficient, practical, and effective resolutions through both negotiated settlements and litigation.
Marium received her law degree from the University of Ottawa. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Socio-Legal Studies from the University of Toronto where she graduated with High Distinction.
During law school, Marium volunteered with ACORN Canada and the National Council of Canadian Muslims through Pro Bono Students Canada. She was also a member of the executive team for the University of Ottawa’s Chapter for the Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights and served as a mentor in the Women’s Leadership Mentorship Program.

Zoë is an Associate at Simes Law. She is passionate about connecting with clients to understand fully what their legal needs are, and what a just outcome looks like for them specifically. Her approach to advocacy is informed by her previous work in frontline social services in Toronto.
Zoë earned her law degree from the University of Windsor, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. During her time at law school, Zoë volunteered with Community Legal Aid, and spent time working with the Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN). Zoë was the 2022 recipient of the Tate Herbert Memorial Post-Secondary Award which recognizes a post-secondary student volunteer who has exceeded expectations and made a significant contribution to OJEN’s justice education initiatives.
When not in the office, Zoë is often at the ceramics studio, or practicing powerlifting at the gym.

She is the eyes and ears of our office and is integral to the efficient operation of the firm. She is a key contact for all of our clients. Judy brings a wealth of expertise and a keen eye for detail to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and works closely with all of our lawyers to provide cost-effective legal services to our clients.
