Simes Law

LAWYER

Alina is an Associate at Simes Law. She works with clients on employment matters, including terminations, severance negotiations, and human rights claims. Recognizing that work is much more than a paycheque, Alina approaches each case with compassion and strategic advocacy to achieve meaningful outcomes for her clients.

Alina received her law degree from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she was a recipient of the Dale H. Lastman Scholarship. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of Ottawa, with a major in International Studies and Modern Languages. Prior to joining Simes Law, Alina completed her practice placement at a community legal clinic, where she assisted clients facing housing insecurity with matters before the Landlord and Tenant Board. During law school, she also volunteered with a pardons clinic assisting clients with their applications, and was involved in community-based legal education initiatives focused on human rights and employment law.

Outside of the office, Alina enjoys travelling, bringing her sewing projects to life, and finding the best places to eat around the GTA.
